Doutor em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). Especialista em Cirurgia pelo Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgia e Anestesiologia Veterinária (CBCAV). Professor Adjunto II da UFSM. Presidente do CBCAV. Atua na área de Medicina Veterinária, com ênfase em Clínica Cirúrgica e Técnica Cirúrgica Animal, principalmente nos temas: Cirurgia Laparoscópica, NOTES, LESS, Cirurgia Toracoscópica, Cirurgia Experimental e Cirurgia Convencional em diferentes especialidades.
