Mary Pipher

Mary Pipher é bacharel em Antropologia Cultural pela Universidade da Califórnia em Berkeley e doutora em Psicologia pela Universidade de Nebraska. A autora escreveu seis livros explorando a influência da cultura na saúde mental, entre os quais o sucesso O Resgate de Ofélia: O Drama da Adolescente no Mundo Moderno, traduzido em dezenove países. A doutora Pipher já viajou pelo mundo inteiro fazendo conferências para estudantes, profissionais da área de saúde e grupos comunitários. Desde 1972, trabalha como psicoterapeuta no estado norte-americano do Nebraska.
