Mary del Priore

Mary del Priore nasceu em 1958 no Rio de Janeiro. Com um doutoramento em História Social pela Universidade de São Paulo e um pós-doutoramento pela École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, foi professora de História em diversas universidades brasileiras. Pelo seu trabalho na área da divulgação da História, recebeu mais de 20 prémios nacionais e internacionais, entre os quais os reconhecidos Prémio Jabuti (1998), prémio União Brasileira de Escritores (1998), Prémio Personalidade Cultural do Ano (1998), Prémio Casa Grande e Senzala (1998 e 2000) e Prémio Fundação Biblioteca Nacional (2009). Além de ter publicados mais de 40 livros, colabora ainda regularmente com diversos jornais e revistas brasileiros e internacionais.
