Marv Waterstone é professor emérito na School of Geography and Development da Universidade do Arizona e foi diretor do Graduate Interdisciplinary Program em Estudos Literários e Cultura Comparada. O seu ângulo de investigação e ensino baseia-se nas noções de hegemonia e senso comum de Antonio Gramsci, e na forma como se interligam com justiça e progresso sociais.
