Marta Coelho nasceu em Lisboa em 1986 e licenciou-se em Ciências da Comunicação. Trabalha como argumentista para televisão desde 2007 e o seu dia é preenchido a dar vida a personagens. Estreou-se como escritora com A Ilha das Quatro Estações, tendo publicado, posteriormente, três livros infantis, sendo o último destes o primeiro livro bilingue em português e nepalês a ser editado no mundo. Leitora ávida e sonhadora assumida, gosta de fazer parar o tempo com um bom livro. Vive com a filha em Lisboa, onde escreve e é feliz.
