Mark Millar

Mark Millar has written some of Marvel's biggest hits of the last decade and a half, including The Ultimates, Ultimate X-Men, Wolverine: Old Man Logan, and Civil War, the best-selling superhero series since the beginning of the century.
Their line of creator-owned books (where the rights belong to the authors) can boast titles such as Wanted, which was adapted into a blockbuster film starring Angelina Jolie; the Kickass series, also adapted with great success for the cinema; and titles such as Nemesis, Superior, Super Crooks, Jupiter’s Legacy, Starlight or MPH, as well as this Secret Service: KINGSMAN, which also became a worldwide hit film.
Millar continues working on his comic book lines, with titles such as Empress or Reborn, and on the sequels to the Jupiter's Legacy series at Image Comics, as well as serving as executive producer on film adaptations of his books.
He is also a consultant to the Scottish government on film issues, received the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire on the Queen's Birthday in 2013 for services to literature and film, and is immersed in his work as a creative consultant for the Marvel cinematic universe at Fox in Los Angeles.
