Mário Beça

Nasceu no Porto a 17 de Junho de 1944. Casou em 1968 e tem três filhos. Matriculou-se na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto, tendo-se licenciado em 1972 e iniciado o Internato Geral no Hospital de S. João. Foi incorporado no serviço militar em Abril de 1973 em Mafra e mobilizado no mesmo ano. Esteve em Timor até Agosto de 1975. Uma vez regressado retomou funções no Serviço de Ortopedia do Hospital de S. João. Estagiou em diversas clínicas em França, onde deu especial atenção à cirurgia do joelho. Iniciou a prática de Artroscopia em Portugal, em 1981. Tem mantido ao longo dos anos uma actividade clínica intensa, praticando intervenções cirúrgicas em muitos hospitais portugueses e nos novos países de língua oficial portuguesa.
