Marina Otero Verzier

Marina Otero Verzier é arquiteta e investigadora, atualmente a lecionar na Universidade de Columbia, em Nova Iorque. Recebeu o Prémio Wheelwright 2022, promovido pela Harvard University Graduate School of Design, por um projeto sobre o futuro do armazenamento de dados. Anteriormente, Otero foi Diretora do Mestrado em Design Social na Design Academy Eindhoven (2020-2023) e Diretora de Investigação no Het Nieuwe Instituut (2025-2022), onde liderou iniciativas centradas no trabalho, extração e saúde mental, incluindo BURN-OUT e Lithium: States of Exhaustion. A sua prática curatorial inclui a Trienal de Arquitetura de Oslo (2016), o Pavilhão Holandês na Bienal de Arquitetura de Veneza (2018), a 13ª Bienal de Arte de Xangai (2021) e Desejos Compulsivos – A Extração do Lítio e as Montanhas Rebeldes na Galeria Municipal do Porto (2023). Co-editou os livros como After Belonging (2016), Work, Body, Leisure (2018), More-than-Human (2020), Lithium: States of Exhaustion (2021) e Automated Landscapes (2023).
