Maria Manuel Leitão Marques é professora catedrática jubilada da Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra. Foi ministra da Presidência e da Modernização Administrativa entre 2015 e 2019, e deputada ao Parlamento Europeu entre 2019 e 2024, onde foi vice-presidente da Comissão do Mercado Interno e Proteção dos Consumidores, tendo sido co-relatorado Regulamento europeu que proíbe os produtos feitos com trabalho forçado.
