Maria Girón (Barcelona, Espanha, 1983) estudou Belas-Artes na Universidade de Barcelona, completou a sua formação em Bolonha e Sevilha, tendo-se posteriormente especializado em Ilustração na Escuela Llotja. Ilustrou diversos livros, muitos deles traduzidos em diferentes línguas. Em 2010 foi selecionada para participar na Feira Internacional do Livro Infantil e Juvenil de Bolonha numa exposição coletiva sobre Gianni Rodari. Voltou a participar nessa mesma feira, em 2017, noutra mostra desta vez dedicada à cultura catalã.
