Maria de Belém Roseira
She served as Minister of Health in the XIII Constitutional Government (1995-1999) and as Minister for Equality in the XIV Government (1999-2000), both presided over by António Guterres. She was then vice-president (1997) and president (1999) of the General Assembly of the World Health Organization.
Currently, she is a Member of Parliament, elected for the Porto constituency, vice-president of the Socialist Party's Parliamentary Group, and president of the Parliamentary Health Committee in the Assembly of the Republic. She also holds the positions of president of the General Assembly of the Union of Portuguese Misericórdias, the Union of Mutual Societies, and the Brotherhood of St. Roque, member of the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Association for Victim Support, the Association for the Progress of Law, the Portuguese Telemedicine Association, the General Council of the University of Coimbra, the Gil Foundation, the Portuguese Lung Foundation, and the Board of Directors of the Francis Obikwelu Foundation.
