Marek Halter
A writer and essayist devoted to the cause of human rights, she was born in Poland and her childhood was marked by hardship, from life in the Warsaw ghetto to refugee camps in Uzbekistan. A victim of the antisemitic violence that marked Europe in the 1940s, she dedicated herself – since settling in France – to activism against racism and antisemitism.
