Marco Missiroli nasceu Rimini e vive em Milão. Escreve para o Corriere della Sera. Publicou seis romances. Senza coda (Fanucci, 2005) recebeu o Prémio Campiello Opera Prima. Bianco (Guanda, 2009) foi galardoado com o Prémio Comisso e o Prémio Tondelli. Il senso dell’elefante (Guanda, 2012) ganhou o Prémio Selezione Campiello, Prémio Vigevano e o Prémio Bergamo. Atti osceni in luogo privato (Feltrinelli, 2015) foi um êxito de vendas e recebeu o Prémio Super Mondello. Fidelidade, obteve o Prémio Strega Giovani. Os seus livros estão traduzidos em mais de trinta países.
