Márcio D'Astrain, argumentista e realizador, nasceu no dia 9 de março de 1993, na Suíça. Aos cinco anos, mudou-se para Pombal, Leiria. Em 2012, frequentou o curso de Estudos Artísticos, na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Escreveu e realizou alguns projetos que incluem D'Astrain No Cinema (2018), Floripes (2020), O Som do Fim (2021) e Saudade: A Lisboa Que Eu Nunca Conheci (2022). Em 2020, venceu o Winter Award para Melhor Curta Experimental no Couch Film Festival, em Toronto. Este é o seu primeiro conto infantojuvenil, que pretende honrar a aldeia do Terrenho e embraçar traços da cultura do município de Trancoso.
