Marcial Gala é um dos mais brilhantes narradores das Américas. Nasceu em Havana, em 1965. É romancista, poeta e arquiteto. O seu primeiro romance, A Catedral Negra, recebeu aclamação da crítica e o prémio Alejo Carpentier, em 2012, e o prémio da crítica para o melhor livro publicado em Cuba em 2012. Llámenme Casandra foi galardoado com o Premio Ñ, o prémio do Instituto Cervantes que distingue as personalidades com um trabalho de excelência na difusão internacional da língua espanhola. Gala vive entre Buenos Aires e Cienfuegos.
