Marcelo G. Oliveira é professor na Universidade Europeia | Laureate International Universities e investigador do Centro de Literaturas e Culturas Lusófonas e Europeias da Universidade de Lisboa, onde se doutorou em Estudos de Literatura e de Cultura. Publicou artigos sobre literatura portuguesa contemporânea, cultura e teoria e em 2004 recebeu o Prémio Revelação de Ensaio Literário APE/DGLB. É autor de Modernismo Tardio: Os Romances de José Cardoso Pires, Fernanda Botelho e Augusto Abelaira e coorganizador dos volumes A Primazia do Texto: Ensaios em Homenagem a Maria Lúcia Lepecki e As Vozes da Balada: 30º Aniversário de Balada da Praia dos Cães, de José Cardoso Pires.
