Marc Jimenez, filósofo e germanista, é professor de Estética na Universidade de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) e dirige o Centre de Recherche en Esthétique. Especialista no pensamento estético de Theodor W. Adorno, o trabalho de investigação que desenvolve em filosofia alemã contemporânea representa uma parte importante da sua produção intelectual. É também tradutor, responsável pela «Collection d'Esthétique» nas edições Klincksieck e colabora regularmente com revistas de arte.
