Manuel Córrego

Manuel Córrego é natural da Vila de Cucujães, aí desenvolveu o gosto pelo Teatro. Fez parte do Teatro dos Estudantes da Universidade de Coimbra. Colaborou na fundação do Teatro Experimental de Malange, assim como no Núcleo Amador de Teatro de S. João da Madeira. Nesta cidade, onde reside, tem-se dedicado à encenação e à criação dramática e é actualmente director do Semanário "O Regional".
No campo do teatro foi distinguido com os seguintes prémios: Grande Prérnio de Teatro Inatel, 1991; Prémio Eça de Queirós, 1992; Grande Prémio do Teatro Inatel, 1998 e 2003.
Em 1998, o Prémio Ler / CÍrculo de Leitores foi atribuído ao seu romance "Campo de Feno com Papoilas".
