Manuel Carmo

Advogado, autor, empresário, assina também Manuel Carmo. De nome completo Jorge Manuel do Carmo Pereira de Almeida, nasceu em Lisboa em 1958. Foi, entre outras atividades, Assessor da Presidência do Conselho de Ministros no VII Governo de Portugal, Professor de "Relações Internacionais" no ISLA, Assessor da Fundação Oliveira Martins e Presidente da ONG europeia de cooperação cultural Latin American Studies Institute. Com quinze livros publicados sobre relações internacionais, arte e filosofia, é atualmente autor da Guimarães Editora (Babel), proprietário da "Lauder Imobiliária" e Presidente da "Manuel Carmo Foundation", organização sem fins lucrativos com sede em Nova York, USA, que tem por objectivo angariar fundos para promover o diálogo entre as culturas europeia e norte-americana.
