Manjusha Pawagi é formada em Direito, pela Universidade de Toronto, e em Jornalismo, pela Universidade de Stanford. Trabalhou como repórter e advogada e, atualmente, é juíza no Tribunal de Família e Juventude em Toronto. É autora do best-seller The Girl Who Hated Books, traduzido em mais de uma dúzia de idiomas e transformado numa premiada curta-metragem de animação pelo National Film Board of Canada. Também é autora do livro infantil Pianomania e do livro de memórias Love and Laughter in the Time of Chemotherapy, nomeado para a Medalha Stephen Leacock for Humor. Mora em Toronto com sua família.
