Malcom Ferdinand (Martinique, 1985) graduated in Environmental Engineering from University College London He holds a doctorate in Political Philosophy and Political Science (Paris Diderot University — Paris VII). He works as a researcher at National Center for Scientific Research and is part of the center for studies in political ecology. Terre-Monde ObservatoryTheir areas of study focus on the concept of the Black Atlantic and the Caribbean region, exploring the intersections between colonial history and the challenges of ecological preservation worldwide. A DECOLONIAL ECOLOGY, his first book, received the award of Fondation de l'Écologie Politique, in 2019.
