M. S. Lourenço

M. S. Lourenço (Sintra, May 13, 1936 – Lisbon, August 1, 2009), academic and literary name of Manuel António dos Santos Lourenço, was a Portuguese philosopher, translator, and writer, and retired full professor of Logic and Philosophy of Mathematics in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. He was a lecturer at the Universities of Oxford and California and also taught at Indiana State University. Among his works are... Classical Theory of Deduction, in the area of ​​modern logic, and Spontaneity of Reason, in the area of ​​analytical philosophy.
