Luize Valente
Luize Valente was born in Rio de Janeiro, of Portuguese and German descent. She is a writer, documentary filmmaker, and journalist with over twenty-five years of experience in television and social media. Globe, Bandeiranteschannel GNT and GloboNewsShe is the author of several books and documentaries, including the book co-authored with Elaine Eiger. Israel: Routes and Roots, and the documentaries Paths of Memory: The Trajectory of Jews in Portugal (2002) and The Hidden Star of the Sertão (2005), which received the Best Documentary award at the São Paulo International Jewish Film Festival. From 2012 onwards, he ventured into fiction, publishing historical novels with Editora Record. The Secret of the Oratory (2012) and A Square in Antwerp, this one released in Portugal by Saída de Emergência (2015). The film and television adaptation rights for the author's first two novels were acquired by Brazilian directors Breno Silveira and Paula Fiuza. Sonata in Auschwitz This is his third novel.
