Luís Francisco Afonso dos Santos Nunes é médico, tendo trabalhado em várias instituições hospitalares e centros de saúde. Praticante de várias modalidades desportivas desde jovem é também professor de educação física, tendo lecionado na Escola Marquês de Pombal e no Liceu Pedro Nunes, em Lisboa. Foi assistente regente da cadeira de Teoria e Metodologia do Treino Desportivo no Instituto Superior de Educação Física de Lisboa e consultor do Instituto Nacional de Desporto. Frequentou ainda o Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada. Tem várias obras publicadas.
