Luís Miguel Rocha nasceu na cidade do Porto, em 1976. Foi técnico de imagem, tradutor, editor e guionista, até se dedicar em exclusivo à escrita. Publicou seis títulos: Um País Encantado, O Último Papa, Bala Santa, A Virgem, A Mentira Sagrada e A Filha do Papa. A título póstumo foi publicada a sua obra de não ficção Curiosidades do Vaticano. As suas obras estão traduzidas em mais de 30 países. O Último Papa marcou presença no top do The New York Times e vendeu meio milhão de exemplares em todo o mundo. Luís Miguel Rocha morreu a 26 de março de 2015, em Viana do Castelo.
