Licenciado em História e Mestre em Estudos Regionais e Autárquicos, pela Faculdade de Letras da Univ. de Lisboa.
Gráfico, Bibliotecário, Arquivista, Museólogo, Investigador, Programador Cultural e Ficcionista, sendo aposentado Função Pública.
Residiu em Mozinhos, Luanda, Benguela, Caracas, Molda, Mindelo, Praia, São Tomé e Príncipe, Lisboa, Almada, Loures e Viseu.
Publicou: Da Mestiçagem à Cabo-verdianidade; Penedono no Contexto da Afirmação Concelhia; o romance Trancosã; os contos Do Tempo da Outra Senhora; Trinta e Três Poemas Inteiros; Odivelas Feiras e Mercados; o romance O Legado de Nhô Filili; o romance Mozinhos; Douro Sul – apontamentos; o romance Lisboa Cidade Colonizada.
