Louie Stowell vive em Londres e é autora de diversos livros infantojuvenis. Louie diz que escreve sobre magia, deuses e monstros (principalmente). Mas também não descarta a hipótese de escrever sobre naves espaciais, assassinatos ou espiões. Os únicos temas que promete não escrever são mesmo o de conversas de pessoas sobre os seus sentimentos. O seu trabalho na escrita iniciou-se pelos livros de factos, mas era um trabalho árduo e decidiu começar a inventar coisas, pois assim é mais criativa e humorística.
