Liniker
Liniker (Liniker Barros Ferreira de Almeida; June 3, 1995) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and activist, born in Araraquara, São Paulo, whose work combines soul, MPB, and R&B with a velvety voice and performances full of sensitivity.
Raised in a family of musicians, Liniker formed the band Liniker e os Caramelows in 2015 in the interior of São Paulo state, releasing the EP "Cru" (2016), which introduced the Brazilian public to her emotional interpretation and arrangements of vintage brass and strings.
In 2018, the album "Remonta" was released, enriched by lyrics about love, gender identity, and self-esteem, in songs like "Zero" and "Tua." The album was critically acclaimed for its fusion of dance rhythms and empowering message, making Liniker a spokesperson for the LGBTQIA+ community.
After parting ways with the band, Liniker released her first solo work in 2021, "Indigo Borboleta Anil," where she explored electronic and Afro-Brazilian sounds, while maintaining the lyrical depth and smooth melody that characterize her. Singles like "Pele" and "flutua" showcased confidence and innovation.
