Leonilde Varela

Maria Leonilde R. Varela recebeu seu Doutoramento em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial pela Universidade do Minho, em 2007. Atualmente é Professora Auxiliar no Departamento de Produção e Sistemas da Universidade do Minho, Portugal. Os seus principais interesses em ensino e investigação são em Planeamento, Controlo e Otimização da Produção e em Redes Colaborativas, e Empresas Virtuais e Distribuídas, e em Sistemas de Decisão e Aplicações e Serviços Web de apoio à Engenharia e Gestão da Produção. Recentemente integrou o Projecto PTDC/EME-GIN/102143/2008, "Ubiquitous oriented embedded systems for globally distributed factories of manufacturing enterprises", financiado pela Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia – FCT, no âmbito dos Sistemas Distribuídos e Virtuais de Fabrico e Empresas (DVMSE) do Departamento de Produção e Sistemas da Universidade do Minho onde é membro integrado.
