Laurent Durieux nasceu em 1970 na Bélgica; é artista de cartazes, ilustrador e designer gráfico.
Designer freelancer desde 1994, ganhou reconhecimento em 2011 com seu cartaz "François à l'Américaine", criado para uma exposição que celebrava a obra do diretor Jacques Tati. Este cartaz permitiu-lhe um lugar na lista dos 200 melhores ilustradores, compilada pela revista Lürzer's Archive. Posteriormente, foi contactado por diversas editoras e galerias americanas, incluindo a prestigiosa Mondo Gallery, em Austin, Texas. O seu trabalho é particularmente apreciado por diretores americanos, como Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg e Paul Thomas Anderson. Em 2017, Laurent Durieux foi contatado pela equipa do Utopiales International Science Fiction Festival, que o contratou para criar o cartaz da décima oitava edição. Uma exposição dedicada a ele também foi realizada no festival.
