Lauren Child grew up in Wiltshire and currently lives in London. The daughter of teachers, Lauren is the middle child. When she began writing and illustrating the book *Clarice Bean, That's Me*, Lauren decided to combine her fascination with childhood, her talent for design, and her creativity. Lauren draws inspiration from everyday conversations and events. Her books have sold a million copies in the UK.
