Laura Vasques de Sousa nasceu em Lisboa, no ano de 1978. É licenciada em Biologia Aplicada aos Recursos Animais (FCUL) e em Cardiopneumologia (ESTeSL), profissão que exerce.
Desde sempre, rodeada por livros, escritas e leituras, foi apenas depois dos 40 anos que teve a lucidez de lhes fazer a vontade.
Em 2023, venceu o 12º Concurso Literário da Academia Madureirense de Letras com o conto "Vácuo" e ficou em 3º lugar no XXVIII Prémio Literário Hernâni Cidade com o conto "Os Pardais". Em 2024, foi distinguida com uma Menção Honrosa no concurso Novos Talentos FNAC com o conto "Cerração".
Tem obra publicada em coletâneas, revistas literárias e plataformas digitais.
