Kristin Neff
Kristin Neff is currently an adjunct professor of educational psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. A pioneer in the field of self-compassion research, she conducted the first empirical studies on the subject almost twenty years ago. In addition to writing several scientific articles, she is the author of the book Self-Compassion. Together with colleague Dr. Chris Germer, he developed the Mindful Self-Compassion program, taught by thousands of instructors around the world.
Neff's most recent work focuses on women and striking the balance between self-acceptance and the courage to make the necessary changes. The Strength of Self-Compassion is the result of this work.
