Karl Manders

Karl Manders viu a sua infância acabar abruptamente quando os pais foram apanhados pelos horrores da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Ele foi arrastado pela corrente mas sobreviveu e foi criado por uma tia. Com doze anos era um experiente entomologista e um corredor dotado - um talento que desenvolveu numa tradicional e centenária escola para rapazes. Ainda na juventude, experimentou o trabalho árduo numa unidade fabril primitiva, fabricando tinta a partir de pigmentos venenosos até todo o seu corpo brilhar no escuro. Depois disso, trabalhou como jornalista durante 40 anos na Inglaterra, na Europa e na América, onde editou livros de fotografia artística. Actualmente, vive em Suffolk com a família.
