Kami Garcia is very superstitious and, like any respectable young woman with Southern roots, is no exception when making her cookies and pies. She has family members who are part of the Daughters of the American Revolution, but she has never participated in a reenactment. Kami attended George Washington University and has a master's degree in Education. She is a teacher and specialist reader, leading reading groups for children and teenagers.
