Carlos Alberto Barbosa – Kaká Barboza – é natural da Ilha de S. Vicente.
Viveu a sua infância e juventude na Vila de Assomada – Santa Catarina.
É músico, e compositor, poeta e contista com seis livros publicados, Vinti Xintido Letradu na Kriolu, Son di ViraSon e Konfison na Finata – poesia em caboverdiano e ChãoTerra Maiamo e Gaveta Branca, poesia e Cântico às Tradições, contos em língua portuguesa.
