Julia R. Kelly grew up in a home without television, reading everything she could. As an English teacher, she passed on her love of stories to the next generation of readers and writers. Since becoming a wheelchair user, Julia has learned to appreciate even more the journeys that the written word can provide. She lives in Herefordshire, England, with her partner, and together they have raised five wonderful children.
As a writer, she was nominated for the Mslexia He has won the Novel Prize, the Exeter Novel Prize, the Penguin WriteNow Prize, and the Bath Novel Award. In 2021, he won the Blue Pencil Agency First Novel Award. The Fisherman's Offering It is his debut novel.
