Judith Schalansky é uma escritora, designer e editora, nascida em Greifswald, na Alemanha, em 1980.
Da sua obra, amplamente elogiada pela crítica, destacam-se os livros Atlas der abgelegenen Inseln, de 2009, vencedor de vários prémios, entre os quais o Red Dot Design Award e o German Design Award, também atribuído ao seu livro seguinte, O Pescoço da Girafa, e Inventário de Algumas Perdas, vencedor do Prémio Gutemberg 2021, do Prémio Strega Europeu 2020, bem como finalista do International Booker Prize 2021 e do National Book Award 2021.
