José Tomaz Wahnon C. Veiga

José Tomaz Wahnon de C. Veiga é natural da cidade da Praia, onde nasceu em maio de 1951 e fez os estudos primários e secundários. Licenciou-se em Gestão de Empresas pelo Instituto Superior de Economia (atualmente ISEG) da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, e é titular de um Mestrado em Administração de Negócios (MBA) pela Universidade Politécnica de Madrid. Foi técnico superior do Banco de Cabo Verde (1982-1984), Diretor Financeiro, Diretor Comercial da Shell Cabo Verde (1984-1991) e Diretor da Região Sul da mesma empresa (1998-2000). Foi membro do Governo, como Secretário de Estado de Finanças (1977-1979), Ministro das Finanças e Plano (1991-1993), Ministro da Coordenação Económica (1994) e Ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros (1995).
