José Sasportes

José Sasportes, no domínio da ficção e do teatro publicou Funerais (1962), Agon (1971), Histórias para serem verdade (1979), Daisy (1986), Salinas, o homem que não podia ser rei (1996) e Os Dias Contados (2005) e A Vingança de Marcolina ou o último duelo de Casanova (2009). Exerceu funções de Ministro da Cultura, de Presidente da Comissão Nacional da UNESCO, de Conselheiro de Imprensa e/ou Cultural nas Embaixadas de Portugal em Roma, Nova Iorque, Washington e Estocolmo, de Diretor do Serviço ACARTE da Fundação Gulbenkian, de Secretário-Geral da Comissão para a Reforma do Conservatório Nacional. Foi cofundador com Artur Portela do Jornal Novo e Fundador e diretor da revista La Danza Italiana. Em 2011, foi publicada em Roma a tradução de Os Dias Contados (Voland), e também naquela cidade saiu o volume La Danza Italiana in Europa nel Settecento (Bulzoni), de que foi coordenador.
