José Roquette

José Roquette was born in 1946. He is currently the president of the Clinical Council of the Luz Saúde Group. Throughout his career, he has worked in various public and private hospitals, most notably as clinical director of Hospital da Luz Lisboa, a position he held until 2019. He was director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Service at Hospital de Santa Marta. He is a founding member of... European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery He held several leadership positions (including the presidency) in both the Portuguese Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery and the Medical Society of the Civil Hospitals of Lisbon. In civil society, José Roquette was elected president of the Municipal Assembly of Fronteira in 1994. He was also decorated, in December 2015, with the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator by the then President of the Republic, Aníbal Cavaco Silva.
