José Miguens

José António Roberts Torres Miguens was born in 1971 in Maputo, Mozambique. A civil engineer by training, he graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto in 1996. He pursued arts as an option in his 10th and 11th years and soon discovered painting as a way to fulfill an almost imperious need to create, participating in several group and solo exhibitions. Poetry and poetic prose came to fill a different space, with new creative processes. In April 2022, he published his first book of poetry and poetic prose, entitled [title missing from original text]. "Another part of me" and developed the Facebook and Instagram pages. "José Miguens – Poetry and Company"where she shares texts she has written and texts by authors with whom she identifies.
