José Maria Gaspar é doutorado em Economia pela Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto. É professor na Católica Porto Business School, onde leciona, entre outras, disciplinas de Microeconomia e Métodos Quantitativos. É investigador no Centro de Estudos em Gestão e Economia. Tem artigos publicados em revistas internacionais indexadas, centrando-se a sua investigação em áreas ligadas à Teoria Económica e Economia Matemática.
