José Luís Guimarães

José Luís Guimarães nasceu no Porto. Escreveu os primeiros poemas com apenas 7 anos, tendo registado a sua primeira canção na SPA (Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores) com 10 anos de idade. "Relembro, relembro", canção interpretada pelo grupo infantil "A Comandita", do qual fazia parte. A sua atividade artística é diversa e multifacetada, inclui, para além da escrita em poesia e prosa, a música, o desenho, a pintura, a cenografia e a arquitetura. Venceu festivais de música e poesia. É licenciado em Arquitetura. Pós-graduado em Design. Mestre em Arqueologia e Doutor em Arquitetura. É professor e investigador universitário desde 1991, no Mestrado Integrado em Arquitetura da ESAP (Escola Superior Artística do Porto).
