José Falero was born in 1987 in Porto Alegre.
In 2019 he published Sapo Village A highly praised collection of short stories about the daily lives of the poorest classes in southern Brazil. She writes a weekly column for the digital magazine. The Suppliers This is his first novel, for which he won the AGES Prize and the Rio Grande do Sul Academy of Letters Prize in 2021. That same year he was also a finalist for the prestigious Jabuti, Minuano, and São Paulo Literature Prizes.
