José Abrantes

José Abrantes, nasceu na quarta feira de cinzas, 07/02/1951, no Morro Nova Cintra, no Bairro do Catete, no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Tem também a cidadania portuguesa.
É Engenheiro Mecânico, Doutor (D.Sc.) em Engenharia de Produção e Professor Titular da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – Uerj.
É filho de Abílio d’Abrantes (1899-1963) e Maria Marzullo Abrantes (1918-2001).
Seu pai é natural da Aldeia do Penedo, Freguesia da Lajeosa do Dão, Concelho de Tondela e Distrito de Viseu, Centro de Portugal.
Sua mãe nasceu no Brasil, sendo filha de Emilio Marzullo (1886-1976) e Filomena Bruno, italianos oriundos de Paola Cosenza, na Região de Régio Calábria, Sul da Itália.
