Jorge Salavisa

Jorge Salavisa (Lisboa, 1939) Bailarino, coreógrafo, director. É, consensualmente, o nome mais importante da dança em Portugal. Trabalhou com os grandes nomes do bailado mundial, de Nureyev a Margot Fonteyn. Fez a sua carreira fora de Portugal, tendo regressado em 1977, quando dirigiu o Ballet Gulbenkian e a Companhia Nacional de Bailado. Foi ainda director do São Luiz, em Lisboa, onde procedeu a uma importante modernização e o colocou no centro do panorama artístico nacional e no roteiro internacional.
