Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa nasceu no Porto, a 28 de dezembro de 1937, e é figura absolutamente indissociável do Futebol Clube do Porto. Sócio do clube desde 1953, seccionista desde 1958, diretor desde 1968 e presidente durante 42 anos, de 1982 a 2024. É, no contexto do futebol mundial, o dirigente desportivo com maior longevidade e mais títulos – assim se resume de forma breve um percurso longo e de incomparável êxito e prestígio, tanto a nível doméstico como internacional.
