Jorge Martins é doutorado em História Contemporânea pela Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa (2006) e professor de História desde 1978. Pertence ao quadro da Escola Secundária Braamcamp Freire, Pontinha, é professor convidado do Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas - Odivelas e investigador do Centro de Estudos de História Contemporânea Portuguesa do ISCTE - Lisboa. Tem exercido atividade de formador em centros de formação de professores e é autor de manuais escolares, obras de ficção e ensaio, designadamente, sobre história contemporânea, história local e estudos judaicos. É autor dos três volumes de Portugal e os Judeus, também publicados sob a chancela Vega.
