Jorge Mangorrinha
Jorge Mangorrinha is an Architect at the Lisbon City Council. He is a university professor and supervisor of doctoral thesis research (CIPSG Chair of Global Studies, Center for Global Studies, Open University), after teaching at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies and at Turismo de Portugal. His professional and academic trajectory is multifaceted in Architecture, History, Urban Planning, and Tourism, areas in which he studied and obtained his degree, respectively, at the undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels, and in which he has also worked technically and as a consultant. He writes poetry for various composers and singers. He is the mentor and author of the albums recorded and published (Fado Journeys, 2016, and Fado à la Carte, 2019). Author of published studies on diverse topics, notably in Music, including Portugal 12 Pts. Festival da Canção (co-authored with João Carlos Callixto, Âncora Editora, 2018). Awarded the José Figueiredo Prize 2010 by the National Academy of Fine Arts.
